Tuffy Tire & Auto Service Center - South Lansing

I’ve been cheated by mechanics before so I didn’t have high expectations when I brought my car in to be looked at and get an oil change. However, the service I received at this location was outstanding! I called first just to make sure they weren’t super busy, and even though they had other inspections to do, I was able to get serviced right away! Scott in particular was really great at explaining everything in a way a non-mechanic could understand and also evaluated my car for free which was not expected, but very appreciated! The gentleman with longer hair was also pretty helpful as well. I’m just astounded as I’ve never experienced such a positive experience at auto shops. Will be going here again for my auto needs.

I had a great experience at Tuffy on Pennsylvania in Lansing! They did an outstanding job getting my air conditioner working again and also took care of my oil change. The manager was extremely thorough, kind, and professional, and the mechanics were knowledgeable and did excellent work. They took the time to explain everything and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. It’s hard to find honest and caring service these days, and I truly appreciate the effort they put into helping me. Highly recommend!

I’ve been taking my vehicles to Tuffy for the last 2 years and have consistently had a great experience. The team is professional, honest, and always does quality work. Scott in particular has been outstanding to work with and makes the entire process smooth and stress-free. One thing I really appreciate is their transparency — they send detailed emails with pictures, itemized quotes, and descriptions of the recommended repairs so you fully understand what’s going on with your vehicle. They never pressure you into unnecessary work or try to upsell services. Instead, they genuinely look out for your safety and the long-term reliability of your vehicle while keeping costs reasonable. They also offer solid military discounts, which is greatly appreciated. Overall, excellent customer service, fair pricing, and trustworthy mechanics. Highly recommend Tuffy to anyone looking for reliable auto care. They recently did some great work on my A/C and power steering fluid to get my vehicle ready for the summer!

This place is Great!!! Working with the men at this location is great!! They really do all they can to help and meet the customer’s needs. They care about their customers. I just went through having to buy a new used vehicle. I came here for pre-purchase inspections until I found the right one. They were very accommodating and very thorough in their inspections and looked over the Carfax report for me. I have been coming here a while now for repairs on my old car and always love the service they provide. The prices are reasonable too. It definitely is a great place to bring your four-tired baby.

Great experience at Tuffy's. There was a nail causing a slow leak in my tire that I found pretty late in the afternoon this last week. After being denied help at two other tire shops, the staff at Tuffy's was incredibly helpful and even promised to stay open late until they finished the job. On top of keeping the shop open almost an extra hour after closing, they did not even charge me for the service. Everyone there was extremely helpful and it was very clear that they put their customers first. I would definitely recommend and return to this location for any future car troubles!
